June 6, 2014 –Afghanite Geo & Mining Engineering Services Company and SRK Consulting (Kazakhstan) Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to consolidate efforts in providing world-class consulting services to the exploration and mining sector in Afghanistan.

Under the MoU, SRK will bring its global consulting expertise and provide technical supervision and training to local engineers. Afghanite will provide the support at the government and local level, seek new projects and ensure logistical, transport, security and other practical issues in the field.

Afghanistan has a long way ahead toward sustainable development. Proper use of natural resources is the way to provide both short- and long-term development.

SRK Consulting is an independent, international consulting practice providing focused advice and solutions to the earth and water resource industries. For mining projects, SRK offers services from exploration to mine closure.

Established in 1974, SRK has its presence on 6 continents and almost all active countries in mining.

Afghanite and SRK will put efforts mutually in Afghanistan mineral resources studies.
