“Afghanite Geo & Mining Engineering Services Company became an exclusive agency of the ALS Ltd. to represent them in Afghanistan in the field of geochemical analyses.  The agreement was signed by the Afghanite Co.’s President, the General Manager of ALS Minerals Turkey and the Regional Manager of ALS Mineral’s Europe, Russia, Central Asia & MENA Region.

Based on this agreement Afghanite Co. is establishing a full sample preparation laboratory in Kabul based on ALS’s best practices.  Full training in sample preparation will be provided by ALS Turkey in it’s Izmir laboratory.  Prepared samples will be shipped to the ALS Minerals laboratory in Turkey where most of the analyses will be performed.  In addition other samples may be sent to ALS’s Hub Lab for Europe & MENA in Ireland.

This agreement will serve the Afghan exploration and mining sector by providing the opportunity to have raw samples prepared and a small sub-sample sent quickly and inexpensively for analyses at internationally recognized and ISO 17025 accredited laboratories.  This will result in fast turnaround times for analyses and lower costs than at present.

These services could also be extended to include Mine Control Laboratories if and when required.

The term of the agreement is five years with possibility of 5 year extensions.
